Sometimes seen on your prescription as "NV, ADD, Near, Reading, or Reading Addition." "NV" stands for "Near-Vision." This number indicates the additional magnification that is added to the distance prescription to get the reading portion of the lens in a multi-focal prescription. We display a single NV-ADD field since it is almost always the same value for both eyes.
