It only takes a year until the very first flagship boutique opens in Japan. This gives the Japanese their first hands-on experience of the minimalistic brand. This boutique is in Tokyo. We wouldn’t see the next Oliver Peoples eyewear boutique open again in Japan until 2012. Thats a whole 23 years of waiting.
The Millenium sees American Pyscho hit our screens. The iconic movie takes the world by storm and is still adored by many. Much like the Californian eyewear brand who’s a pair of round glasses we worn by Christian Bale’s character. Those glasses go by the name of Oliver Peoples O’Malley Glasses. One of Oliver Peoples’ best sellers.
Fast-forward another 3 years and we see the biggest technological leap for Oliver Peoples eyewear. An exclusive advanced Oliver Peoples polarized sunglasses and photochromic lenses are released. All along with the Oliver Peoples Breath Logo. This is a little bit of secret genius we love. Breathe on the lens and the Oliver Peoples logo appears. A wonderful trick and one that certifies the authenticity of the Oliver Peoples Sunglasses.
Those who already love Oliver Peoples will know 2017 sees the 30th anniversary year for Oliver Peoples eyewear. It didn’t go unmarked. A collection was released with a feather filigree pattern. A unique look specifically for the 25th-anniversary collection.
